For a better life, start your small business. This is particularly true in the Western World if you earn less than $150k.

Start small and grow organically. Don't suddenly give up on your source of income and start a new endeavor or business. That will just create stress. Running two parallel businesses is also stressful but it is less stressful than a new business that is not meeting expectations.

Waking up one day and quitting your job to start a new endeavor is a bad idea. It is a good story, and it might work if you are lucky, but is more likely to fail.

Avoid doing it all alone. Start your business with people who complement you. Find a business partner. If you cannot, do that, you will struggle to find customers as well and have a bigger problem to solve. Your business partner will balance your personality and complement your skills. Do what you are good at, and find people who will complement your skills.

If you are a craftsman, work with a marketing person. If your skills are in social media marketing, work with someone who has a great product or idea or service. If you are a good lawyer, work with someone who can build your network to get the business you need.

Build a product or service or your niche that is unique and sufficiently distinct. Then work to refine it and market it.

Once your endeavor or business takes off and generates enough revenue to give you confidence, work on it full time.

In human history, people always worked on their own small business. Everyone was a businessman, trader, craftsman, farmer 100 years ago. There were no jobs or safety net. This changed with technology driven economy where large number of specialists are required in high tech industries such as aviation, IT, and manufacturing.

The laws created by the Deep State also favor business's over individuals. A small business can write-off expenses, get tax breaks, and pay lower taxes compared to individuals. These financial rewards should motivate you to start your business.

The world needs more watchmakers, shoemakers, suitcase craftsmen, tailors, photographers, artists, social media marketers, freelance lawyers, accountants, and classic car entrepreneurs.

Start small and slow, work with someone who complements you, build your unique product or service, and market it well.
