Help each other

Our insular, individualistic, intolerant, entitled, and selfish existence has created an epidemic of loneliness. This makes us weaker and easy to exploit as individuals and as a fragmented weakened community.

Take the initiative to be involved in other peoples lives and help others, instead of looking for reasons not to.

Our insular, individualistic, intolerant, entitled, and selfish existence has created an epidemic of loneliness. This makes us weaker and easy to exploit as individuals and as a fragmented weakened community.

Individualism, and small dysfunctional single or even nuclear families are getting more common. There are nuclear families barely held together by inertia. Many nuclear families are held together because it is too inconvenient or expensive for them to be apart.

Friends and pets have replaced the family instead of complementing it. It is a symptom of a deep social problem when people say they prefer friends to family, and animals to humans.

Let us end the insular individualistic intolerant entitled selfish existence where every man is an island. We are weaker as individuals, and less happy. Let us stop looking at people who are different from us as aliens. Our lives are intertwined with each other.

Stop seeing the bad and negative in others. See the good in people and help them be good to you.

Be close to your family physically and emotionally. Be involved in their life instead of avoiding contact. Friends are not a replacement for family but complement it. Pets and animals are not a replacement for people but complement them.

Live close to your family or at least visit each other often.

Jobs and business might take us far in this connected globalized world. Actively participate in the community you are in for whatever time you spend anywhere. Try talking to your neighbors even when they are from a different background than you.

Take the initiative to be involved in other people's lives and help others, instead of looking for reasons not to.
